After coming down the east coast which is a very scenic drive we had our next stop in Christchurch. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side (you only get to see the sunny pictures) and it started to rain for a couple of days. Well, we used those to update our blog and recharge our depleted batteries. Whenever the sun was outside we walked through the city and enjoyed a very britsh New Zealand city.
Auf dem Weg an der Küste entlang (from Kaikoura to Christchurch):

In Christchurch. Am Cathedral Square (Christchurch Cathedral, quite impressive from the inside with a nice choir which we enjoyed at a Sundy mass)

Die Milleniumsstatue (The Chalice):

Hört einfach was er so schreibt...
(a couple of blogs ago we showed you Carina's heaven of wine and chocolate and here is mine now. A photo store where I finally found a gradual ND filter plus plenty of old and new cameras, nice accessories and everything an amatuer photographer would look for :-) )

Es gab viele tolle Kameras, besonders viele Leicas. Damit kann man meine Oma extrem begeistern! (That's and old Leica camera made of wood and metal, the price tag is for another camera in the top right hand corner)

Fressmeile von Christchurch (one of the many restaurants in Christchurch):

Die Bridge of Remembrance (the Bridge of Remembrance at sun set taken with Carina always be with you camera):

(we just missed this wedding but were lucky *heartsmelting* to see the photographer taking some shots of the newly wed couple *can'twaittohaveours*)

(one of the many attractions in Christchurch is the tram which shows you parts of the city and explains it's history. If you are hungry you can even get on a restaurant in a tram)

(New Zealand is loved my many Germans and Germans are loved for their good food. It's just too bad that Bavaria only represents Germany in the world. ;-) )

Eifrig am Verhandeln *g* (Carina found a couple of necklaces she wanted and was hoping for a good price, but even her charming character couldn't soften this man :-) )

Pinguine auf einem Bus. (Penguin tours, Antarctic tours, Lord of the Rings tours or Glacier tours, you can book pretty much everything in Christchurch)

Blick vom Cathedral Square in die andere Richtung auf das I-Site und Starbucks (ne Laura *g*) (Starbucks and the i-Site both share a very beautiful building)
