Der letzte Tag in unserem Auto
We finally managed to sell our car and this is our last day that we will sleep in it. Brushing teeth in the Botanical gardens... this might seem strange for some... but being outside every day is the best you can do
Zähneputzen am Morgen:
ein kleiner Spaziergang durch Christchurch (we strolled through Christchurch and took a few more pictures...):
Wir haben uns gefragt, warum hier so viele Leute komisch gekleidet herumlaufen, jetzt wissen wir es: die Armageddon Expo! (we came across a lot of strangely dressed people who went to the Armageddon Expo)
Und hier ein paar Verrückte ;o) (super heroes, where ever you looked... no we didn't go inside, unfortunately it was a bit too late.)
Weiter ging es an den Strand, noch einmal ne steife Briese um die Nase wehen lassen (we took our last chance to drive somewhere by car and went to the beach at Christchurch):
und einmal den 300m langen Pier auf das Meer hinaus Spazieren (a 300meter long pier can be seen on the picture below. Some people go fishing and others go walking on it.):
an impressive tree in front of the New Brighton Library
Ein süßer Kinderspielplatz (a lovely playground at the beach. The little child on the right would have loved to touch the whale, but it was just too cold.):

Zähneputzen am Morgen:
Christchurch again
Back in Christchurch we made our selves ready to sell our car. But we did have enough time to look around and take a few more pictures for you.
We stayed at the botanical gardens car park which will soon be a no camping area.)
probably a clock tower
(we haven't really figured out what it was but we assume it was a graduation day for a lot of students)
(quite hungry from running around the city we stopped at a Mexican restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal)
... in einem netten, mexikanischen Restaurant (no, we were not the only customers, most were outside...)
Hinterher eine nette Maori-Performance. (after our bellies were full, we enjoyed a Maori cultural performance in the city centre)
Die Frauen können böse schauen, was? (pictures with the stars)
Na, bei Jürgen schauen sie schon etwas netter ;o) (and the stars can also smile of course :-) )
Ein wichtiger Platz für Kaffeliebhaber: Starbucks (coffee for my wife - what would she do without Starbucks ;-))
Das erste mal Ballroom dancing in Neuseeland! Sehr nette Leute (Christchurch is a great place to go dancing, Salsa and Ballroom dancing. It seems most dancers are in Christchurch because places where you can dance are as rare as Kiwis in New Zealand.):
und viele hier können ziemlich gut Tanzen (it was quite interesting for us to see that dancing partners are exchanged on a regular basis and that most people knew a lot of special dances which seem very common in New Zealand...):
Dennoch hatten wir natürlich auch etwas Zeit, uns noch etwas umzuschauen und das Leben zu genießen ;o)
