We liked Nelson even a bit more because of a very nice restaurant named Kraut's. They serve delicious German food in a "Biergarten" atmosphere. A 101 MUST-DO's for Germans ;-)

Ein anständiges Maß .... Apfelschorle! Köstlich, das Getränk ist fast unbekannt hier- und dabei sooo lecker ;o) (0.5L sparkling apple juice, so hard to find in New Zealand...)
Lecker Essen: Bratwurst, Sauerkraut und Kartoffelpü für die Frau, Käsespätzle für den Mann ;o) (Carina went for a Bratwurst with Sauerkraut and mashed potatoes and I went for the Käsespätzle. Yummy!!!)
völlig fertig und seelig *g* (happy and sated after some good food. New Zealanders don't be offended but food is a matter of taste and it is hard to argue about taste since everyone has his own. But I'm sure if you ever come to Germany and go to a good German cuisine, you will know what we have missed here.)
Nach dem Essen sollst du ruhn, oder tausend Schritte tun... Wir entschlossen uns für die Schritte...Schöne Malerei an einem Haus direkt am Meer (beautiful art at a building):
und dann ging es steil den Berg hinaus zum "Centre of New Zealand". (we have been to the most northern and southern point of New Zealand. And now we even went to the centre of New Zealand, which is up on a hill 147m above sea level. )

Aber dafür hatte man eine tolle Aussicht auf die Stadt und das Meer (with a great view on Nelson and its surrounding area):
Unser nächster Stop waren die Gärten von Nelson: ziemlich klein, aber ganz niedlich. Hier gehts in den chinesischen Garten (once we got down from the hill we went to the gardens in Nelson. They are rather small but do have a nice Chinese garden. ):
Der Blick durchs Schlüsselloch: Na, wer heiratet den da in einem botanischen Garten? Das kam uns irgendwie bekannt vor... (well well, a wedding in a Chinese garden, sounds a bit familiar :-) It certainly is a nice place.)
Noch ein letzter Stop im Garten, bevor wir uns für unser Abendprogramm fertig machten ;o) (a fountain in the middle of the garden. Night time is coming and more...)
