Dunedin Teil 2

In Dunedin gibt es die steilste Straße der Welt. Das wollten wir uns natürlich nicht nehmen lassen, also hieß es: Gas geben und los. Unsere Kleine hatte schon ganz schön zu kämpfen und es war wirklich seeeehr steil- ich hatte schon Angst, dass sie es nicht hoch schafft. Auf dem Photo sieht es längst nicht so dramatisch aus wie es war! Aber wir haben es gut hoch - und vor allem auch wieder runter geschafft.

The steepest street of the world is in Dunedin which is testified in the book of world records. Baldwin St is 161.2 meters long and goes 47.22 meters up. The steepest part goes 2.86m forward and 1m up. We had to try it of course and were quite satisfied to see our little van climb that road. Compared to a ski slope it would certainly be a steep red or almost black slope.

Nach so viel Aufregung brauchten wir erst mal wieder etwas ruhe ;o).

... und noch einmal von außen... Wenn es schon das meist-fotografierteste Gebäude NZ ist! (.. as well very beautiful from the outside. An i-Site employee told us, it is the most photographed building in NZ)

von innen konnte man eine schöne Holzkonstruktion sehen (too bad we didn't get to hear the organ. But we marvelled at the wonderful wooden construction):
