!!!nicht Jugendfrei!!!: Der World Naked Bike Ride

Parental Guidance strongly recommended only for mature audiences +18 nudity and strong sense of humor!!!

The World Naked Bike Ride! Seht selber...

From Nelson we drove up to Takaka, which is a fairly small town but according to my barber has many German immigrants. I guess that's why there were so many cyclists. I love to cycle too but not exactly the way they did. Although when I'm back in Germany I will complain about the same problem these fellows stripped nude for. New Zealand shall pass a law that states that car drivers must have 1.5meters between them and the cyclist they overtake. Car drivers pass cyclists very often too close, scaring the hell out of cyclists and making them very angry about it. Bunt angemalte, angezogene und nackige Leute, die ihren Spaß auf den Fahrrädern hatten (these people had a very interesting idea about demonstrating for their rights):
but it surely worked - they got plenty of publicity...
Am Ende trafen sich alle in dem "Totally Roasted Cafe" zur Preisverleihung des besten "Kostümes" (no matter how old or young everyone participated and met at the Totally Roasted Cafe. The one with the best "dress" got an award :-) )
Die beiden waren auf der Liste ganz weit oben (two of the best dresses):
Recht hat er (Well, Possums lie on every street but cyclists shouldn't!):
No Iraqui died to fuel this bike!" Eine gute Parole für das Fahrrad fahren! (And this is one very good reason to use your bicycle far more often! "No Iraqui died to fuel this bike!")

We decided it would be a good idea to leave Nelson and drive up to the Golden Bay. Just in case our car gets sold too early.

Moderne Art des Schuhe-trocknens (auf den Schuhen stand "bitte Lufttrocknen") (since I don't have any toe socks yet I have to wash my five fingers once a week and air dry them whenever possible :-) ): Am Abel Tasman National Park vorbei wurde es doch ganz schön bergig... (the Abel Tasman National Park got some big hills we had to cross...)
... aber unsere Kleine hat jeden Berg tapfer geschafft (but once we were on the other side we could see the Golden Bay in the distance):
noch ein letzter Blick auf die Nelson-Bay, bevor es weiter in die Golden Bay gehen sollte (view to the Nelson Bay):

Nelson

After arriving in Nelson we spent a couple of hours advertising our van in all sorts of places. We updated our blog and had a couple of things to organize. Once the work was done we went to the almost sandlfy free beach.

Coffee shops in New Zealand are very creative when it comes to coffee...
Na, wer erkennt das Tierchen auf meinem Kaffee?in Nelson am Strand (at the Beach in Nelson) :
Lecker Essen selbst gemacht (german sausages and salad was our lunch ):
verliebte am Strand (the beach is a perfect place to chill out):
... und den Sonnenuntergang gab es gratis ;o) (...especially when you have the love of your live at your side and this wonderful sunset)

Unsere schönsten Strandbilder ;o):

kurz vor Nelson

Ein schöner Sonnenaufgang kurz vor Nelson (when we woke up we saw a very beautiful sunrise):Juhu, wir sind im Paradies: Leberkäse von einem echten deutschem Metzger (Now guess where we got some German food from... This is Leberkäse - something like Meatloaf):
