Nach so viel Aufregung waren wir auch froh, wieder an einem schönen Strand zu sein. Wie ihr seht war grade Ebbe (those nude cyclists were quite exciting and we just had to cool off a bit at the next beautiful beach at low tide):
Aber mit den Füßen ins Wasser geht immer (it was pretty windy and we had to wear jackets not to cool off too much):
Na, wo wollen diese Flip-Flops wohl hinlaufen? (it was that windy my flip-flops wanted to walk their own way...)
Am Ende der Golden Bay angekommen: Farewell Spit, eine über 20km lange Sandbank. Die Tour für den nächsten Tag dorthin ist schon gebucht!!! (the most northern part of the South-Island is Farewell Spit. We booked a tour on another day to drive on the spit and see the lighthouse as well as other things.)
Zum Sonnenuntergang ging es zum Wharariki-Beach (Wharariki Beach highly recommended by everyone who had been there before!):
Wir hatten Glück und erwischten noch einen Hauch von Sonne, bevor sich die Wolken davor schoben (we are not sure whether sunrise or sunset is more beautiful):
Aber auch ohne direkte Sonne ein wunderschöner Strand (you get a very good view when you come at low tide. The water would be otherwise where Carina is standing at the moment):

So langsam mussten wir an den Rückweg denken- immerhin eine knappe halbe Stunde durch Gebüsch und hügeliges Land... (before it got dark we made sure to find our way back to the car.)
Dabei sahen wir einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang mit allen erdenklichen Farben... (sunset time certainly has its charmes)
