Takaka

Takaka eignet sich gut für einen kleinen Zwischenstop, wenn man aus der Golden Bay oder dem Abel Tasman NP kommt. Außerdem war eine Frau aus Takaka an unserem Van interessiert. Leider hat das Interesse leider nicht für den Kauf gereicht, da sie ein etwas jüngeres Auto gesucht hat als das unsere ;o(.
Schade, aber so hatten wir wenigstens einen fahrbaren Unterstatz um von Takaka zurück nach Nelson zu kommen...

After such a fun day in the Abel Tasman National Park we had a slow one in Takaka. Actually we were waiting because a local was interested in our car and we showed the van to her. Too bad that she was looking for something younger and with less mileage. But anyways, it looks like we are going back to Christchurch, the Back-Packer Mecca where we certainly should be able to sell our car.

Takaka has a very delicous take away place which is called "Bay Take Away". All freshly made and you couldn't make it fresher yourself.
Das Museum haben wir uns nur von außen angeschaut. Wir wollten ja- dummerweise hatte es grade an dem Tag geschlossen ;o)
The museum in Takaka - well we sort of left the cultural parts out - but I mean we had the World Nude Cyclists Demonstration, which was more culture than some can handle ;-)
Etwas außerhalb von Takaka gibt es die Waikoropupu Quellen, neben der Antarktis eine der reinsten Frischwasserquellen der Welt. Das Wasser sah auch zum reinspringen aus. Dumm, dass man dass nicht durfte ;o)
The worlds clearest and purest springs the "Waikoropupu Springs". They are also Australasia's largest spring discharging about 14,000 litre per second. So about 40 bath tubs full to the rim :-)
