Puzzling World

Ich bin ein Spielkind und nachdem ich vor einiger Zeit mal ein Prospekt gesehen hatte, wollte ich UNBEDINGT in die Puzzling World in Wanaka.
Und endlich war es soweit! Es hat uns RIESIG Spaß gemacht, seht selber was es so alles tolles gab ;o)

This is a special place for Carina to be, she loves to play around and try out all sorts of games. Well it wasn't just games but mind boggling experiences with all sorts of illusions. You didn't get brain damaged but could get a headache if consumed for too long ;-)

Endlich da!
Man, bin ich stark! (The physical warm up before our minds were tested...)
Was Laser so alles anstellen können... 3D-Hollogramme! vom feinsten! (3D-holograms made by lasers)
that little lizard moved when you moved from left to right
Jürgen wurde hier ganz schuggelig (straight lines or not? If you looked at it too long you could get all dizzy):
Hall of the faces. Na, wie viele Gesichter schauen dich grade an?!? ALLE! (in the hall of the faces you shouldn't feel looked at ;-)...)
Es wird noch kurioser. Unser Gleichgewichtssinn wurde hart auf die Probe gestellt... Wer steht grade? Der Mann an der Wand oder ich? (...this room was certainly a hard test for you mind. Everything looked even except you, why is that? Water was flowing upwards, marbles were rolling upwards, etc. Well, they tilted the whole room... your eyes were seeing and even room but your balance was telling you that nothing in here is even. )
Bilder, die jeder kennt. Mal wieder ein Rätsel: NA, was erkennt ihr hier? (Wer alle Fragen richtig beantwortet bekommt ein Lesezeichen, Schlüsselanhänger, ... aus NZ. Sandra führt im Moment *g*) (pictures for the psyche, whatever comes to your mind first can tell you about your personality)
Verwirrende Bilder (three dimensional pictures, if you follow the shadows you might see the trick)
Wie sich manche Dinge doch verändern können... (pictures of dreams)
Ein völlig neues Gefühl für mich! Ich bin ein Riese! (magical rooms where people appear big and small - you might remember, Lord of the Rings used this special technique)
Tja, leider nicht allzu lange und schon war ich wieder klein... Allerdings etwas kleiner als normal. Diese Effekte wurden auch in HDR genutzt. (Carina is within the same room...)
Was man nicht so alles machen kann... (artists of the mind...)
Spannende Toiletten (Carina is sharing the male restrooms with some roman guys, at first I was very upset but I had to take a picture of it ;-) ):
Das große Labirinth- extra für Erwachsene! (Now things were getting real again, a great maze was waiting for us...)
Ich hätte es ja nicht gedacht, aber es war echt schwierig hier durch zu kommen: Die Konstrukteure haben ganze Arbeit geleistet! (it really is quite a tough challenge. At first you think you can find you way back but after four turns everything looks the same. Some people were pretty frustrated around us and luckily they integrated emergency exits in the maze. It really tested your patience and took us about one hour to get through.)
Aber wie ihr seht haben wir es wieder raus geschafft und mussten uns erst mal stützen... (after so much brain work I felt like resting a bit)
... und stärken *g* (and my wife felt like eating something. Luckily she didn't eat any of the poor people walking around...)
